Soneva Gili
One of the most exotic and beautiful islands, Maldives is truly a heavenly place on earth. The beauty of the island and the places around it is simply intoxicating and splendid. The Soneva Gili resort island is a small but exotic resort island in Maldives which is merely ten minutes drive on boat from the capital of Maldives, Male. It is a small coral island in a lagoon with sparkling water and soft whit sand. The lagoon has harbors across the water making out the spacious and beautiful villas.
The beaches have sand as soft as the baby powder and are sparkling white which look just beautiful under the turquoise blue water of the Indian Ocean. The resort has about forty four stilted room accommodations which can are known to continue the much believed and followed philosophy of “intelligent luxury”. This is called so due to the main reason of the materials and the technique used to create the accommodations. The island resort has the beautiful bungalows with thatched roof that are stuffed over to the rafters using the delicate but high end furnishings.
The materials are crafted in the simple traditional manner using the basic natural materials and also provide the over-water sundecks. These sundecks are very beautiful and have small steps which lead towards the sea.
These beautiful rooms also have the open air bathrooms, splendid day beds, and some personal entertainment centers. These rooms are individual and can be reached only by a pontoon boat. Each of these rooms is very spacious and is decked as an individual island in the Zen style. These rooms have the small entertainment materials like the television, the DVD payers, stereo systems etc.
These rooms also have small kitchenettes for the visitors. These accommodations are just fabulous and are different from any traditional hotel. About half a kilometer from the other resorts, the island resort has a five building compound which has two master suites which are equipped with a private spa, full kitchen, personal butlers and a wine cellar.
